This is an addition word problem worksheet. It contains four word problems that require students to add two numbers to find the total. The problems involve scenarios such as calculating the total number of people at a medical camp, the total number of rooms in a house, the total number of calls made by an executive, and the total yield of grains from a farm. An 'Infobit' at the bottom provides a fact about wheat production.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for 2nd and 3rd grade. The addition problems involve 2-3 digit numbers, which is typical for these grade levels. The word problems also require reading comprehension skills appropriate for this age range.
Why Use It:
This worksheet helps students practice addition skills in the context of real-world scenarios. It reinforces reading comprehension by requiring students to extract relevant information from the word problems. It also provides a fun fact related to agriculture to expand general knowledge.
